Awning Mats

What size awning mat is best to get? I have a 20' power awning on my trailer and look at different size mats. Should I go 8x20 or 9x16 or 2 samller mats? is there a huge differnce in them? There is a huge difference in prices, we are looking at a woen mat. This is something we don't have yet for our trailer.

We prefer several smaller mats. They are a lot easier to clean and fold up for travel. Plus you don't have to use all of them for a short stay.

I'm going for 8x20 myself...

I'm going to head down to Home Depot and have a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet cut for this purpose.

I think ours the 9x16' (?). It's the one you can buy in the rv section at WM for $49. I like it being smaller also as our storage compartments aren't all that big once we put the table, chairs, etc in them

We used the indoor outdoor carpet as well. Much cheaper than the pre-cut but you do have a problem with unraveling. Should have taped the edges I guess.

I live just off the border in BC so it is easy to make a trip to Washington, I will check Walmart for one we are going camping in the States in April anyways. $49 is what I am thinking, dealers here are over $100

I have a nice one, but I have never taken it out of it's packaging. I seem to always camp on either pavement or gravel so really didn't see a need to get it out and dirty. I forget the size.

I've had great luck with an outdoor area "rug" I bought at Lowes - It's kind of a "woven" look, cleans very easily, looks nice and rolls up and goes right into the front pass-through storage area.

It even came with a matching "welcome mat" that I use for the rear / restroom door.

We have the $49 one from WalMart. It was so bid that I set it up so it covers the wheels and blocks the view ti the underside of the TT.
