At some point there may be a sign...
"$25 fee for tripping a campground power feed breaker"

X2 - that's what it sounds like to me

In case you stay at Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville. They are up grading sites to handle 50 amp. Now sites have 50 amp receptacle but on a 30 amp breaker. New pedestals, new underground wiring and new junction boxes. Most of the full hook up sites will be down till November.

Actually ran into this at a Lake George, NY campground this summer. Their flyer stated the first breaker reset was free, after that there was reset fee. Don't remover the exact amount, but I think it was in the $30 range.

If they mean the breaker in the mains box, this would work if each pedestal was wired separately back to a mains box. If the pedestals were daisy-chained, which I understand is more likely, they may not know who to charge....

Maybe they mean resetting the breaker in the pedestal.

30 amp campsites are NOT compatible with 50amp campers/RVs

This weekend I saw this from a slightly different perspective. Pulled into a site on Thursday and had it in my head that it was a 30amp only. I was tired. Hooked it up as such. I started one AC and then my AC with the EasyStart. Both were running on 30amp. Told the family to limit all other use till it cooled and we shut down an AC. Then as I was on a walk my brain turned on and realized I’d seen a 50amp outlet.. Soon as I realized I had 50amp I hustled back to switch it. My dog bone was so hot. I can only imagine what the pedestal wires like. So maybe they make rules like this because of people like me.
