Hilton Head Harbor RV

Anyone else aware of the litigation going on at this place? This is one of the best resorts out there... but as of Sept 1, they adhered to their covenant and NO longer allow travel trailers or 5th wheels over 35 ft OR with slideouts!

That weeds out most of the clients! Nuts.

We stayed there this past June. It was a really nice resort. We hope they get this resolved.

Looks like the issue is with a "POA covenants". Had to look it up. POA = Property Owner's Association. If that is it. It might be a while if they are in violation of their subdivision.

Hilton Head Marina and RV Resort

Stayed there Friday and Saturday night.

We found the people in the office super helpful and friendly. This place is beautiful, great location and rated a perfect top 10 Good Sam resort. We had a site (#57) on the water. As a former boater, this was an added bonus.

We have read about the issues with new restrictions effective September 1st.

Something doesn't make any sense because most of the rv's there this weekend were very large Class A coaches or large fifth wheels. Nearly every unit had tip outs, most of them multiples. We have a 212qb, so size and tip outs were not an issue for us.

IDK what the issues are, but we will for sure go back!

"Due to our POA covenants, we do not accept pull behind travel trailers with slides or 5th wheel travel trailers with slides and they cannot exceed 35ft in length or 8 ft in width in their fully installed condition (which are to include tip outs and slide outs)."

Class A's are fine regardless of slideouts.
But 5th wheels should not have slides which rules out all of them.

It's like they are heading towards the Motorhomes only like the RV place down the street.
