I like all the state parks.

Close to the cities is William O'brien. Great park, lots of hiking and fishing.

A lot depends on want you want of a campsite. We like state parks for the wilderness exeriences. We go to a few private CG, but usually it's a kids weekend in the pool and game stuff.

Well just being outside is what we like. Somewhere to swim is nice. Lake river pool. That dont matter. I heard state parks are hard to access with a bigger tt?

We stayed at Two Harbors Campground for a few days last summer and really liked it. IMO the new section, right across from the beach, is much nicer than the older area

Minnesota is a big state. Where do you want to go and what do you want to see?
Farmlands in the south, prairie in the west, forests and Lake Superior in the north. Lots of rivers and lakes wherever you go, and State parks literally located in all these places. Plus two national forests, a national park, a national monument.

MN state parks are my favorite. Go to the mndnr website you'll find plenty of campsites that will fit your rig. I haven't been to state park that I didn't like the all have there own attraction. Check them out. Fyi the more popular ones fill up fast. Also Army crops. Of engineers have nice parks as well.

Try Forestville/Mystery cave state park. Do a Cave tour. They have a couple of different Tours one for all ages and one that is more physical. Also the Historic Society puts on a thing at Forestville Check it out. We had a lot of fun there.

Hello neighbor,
You shouldn't have any issues in most of the state parks with an electric site.
State Parks that we have been at that I would recommend are William O'Brien, Sibley and Lake Shetek. One we have frequent in Wisconsin that we like is Willow River which is just northwest of Hudson a few miles.
Campsite reservations - State parks: Minnesota DNR

One popular private campground that has everything for the kids is Kieslers in Waseca.

You should have taken a trip to the Minneapolis Convention Center this weekend for the RV & Camping Show. Lots of representation from campgrounds there.

There are some very nice county campgrounds too. There are several within an hours drive from Buffalo that are worth checking out.
