I have now put my baby back in storage at the family farm. I took my hitch off my truck yesterday, so will have to wait until later this spring or summer and I will then fill it with water and maybe add so sort of softener to the water and see what happens if anything.

I would also add some Calgon water softener to the tank. The soft water will help stop things from sticking. You will find it in the laundry section of the store. I add some after each dump. My black tank stays "clean".

I am considering using the calgon also, do you use other black tank chemicals with it???

A day before every trip i put a drop in deoderizer in with a few capfulls of calgon in a designated container mix it all up good then pour in the toilet. fill the container about 2-3 more times and pour in the toilet. The enzymes and calgon along with the deoderizer slosh all around in the black tank on the way. After camping and emptying the black tank i drop another deoderizer in and a gallon or so of water from the tank flusher and let it sit til the next time.

you can also dump a bag of ice in the tank before you take off so when you stop it will be melted and ready to drain
