I lift/carry mine with one hand on the receiver part of the shank and the other on the nut that holds the ball. No grease in those locations. No mess. No need to wash hands.

$35? My wife would say to give her the $35 and she will deal with the hitch.

Good idea, she can buy a least two bottles of wine and put the hitch in herself
Then sit back and relax And say I have done my job
Sounds good to me.
Maybe 3 bottles of wine

Just tried the Hitch Grip and it works as advertised. It allows you to lift the hitch with one hand and in a balanced manner. Using it is less combersome than grabbing the hitch with both hands.
