Hurricane Michael casuaty
The '18 Greyhawk got totaled. No plans for replacement yet, still stinging. The coach held up pretty well. The first half of the storm blew her over sideways against my power pole, well, and a cedar stump, second half after the eye finished her off. The driver side windows were gone and a 150+ mph wind scattered glass, water, and contents all over hell and back. Everything was still working except the missing awning and the entry door step.

Hopefully insurance will put you in a good position to replace it.

That sucks man. At least it was so new that they weren't towing away years of memories with it. I have lost a trailer to wild weather once before, and I was so upset initially. Once the dust settled, and insurance came through, it allowed me to upgrade to something better without eating the depreciation of a trade-in. Glad you're ok, and eventually you will have something equal or better.

Yeah, trying to stay positive. The insurance came through fine. Thanks for the good thoughts!

so sorry this happened. Also thankful you are ok. And, you have a lot to be thankful for. That was your secondary home. Lots of folks in the panhandle lost their homes and everything. You will come out of this just fine.

We live in Wewahitchka and lost our 2018 Jayco 272 in the storm. We were lucky as the insurance company paid well and we replaced it with another 2018 Jayco 272. I hope your situation works out well for you!

Your area was hit hard! Most people don’t understand the devastation unless they have seen it or experienced it before. The pictures and media just don’t convey the impact it had in our area.

We were lucky, on vacation with ours now in Eastpoint waiting on home repairs. Had to use GPS to find my street.

I've been thru several hurricanes here in South MS., and am very familiar with the aftermath and emotions that follow these storms. Bless all of you that were caught in the path of Michael, and wishing all a speedy recovery.
From the land mass between Mobile and New Orleans,
Stay safe and speedy recoveries to all.

A plug for insurers perhaps, bundling separate policies might save you separate deductibles in this type of catastrophe. Glad you all fared well.
