What kind of vacuum cleaner do you use?
My TT is stored 250 miles away, so I am forced to keep a lot of things there to avoid dragging them back and forth. It is stored at the ocean so as you may guess, I get a lot of sand! I just purchased a Bissell Zinger. It is a small canister unit that should fit right in the dinette ottoman for storage. It doesn't have a power brush, but does have lots of suction. The reviews for it all mentioned the how great the suction was, some even said it was too much. I figure it can do both the carpet and kitchen floors, plus it had attachments for curtains, corners etc. Automatic cord rewind as well. I think it has a 10 amp motor, so I will have to be careful with whats running so as not to blow a breaker. For $60 I think I did ok.

We have a Bissell E Z Vac. Pulls 7 amps, and does a great job. We don't have the sand that you mention, though. Got it at Wallymart.

I have a shark hand held plug in vac. It works great and has a very good filter.

We bought the Eureka stick vac from Wallymart. It has a removeable power brush, is bagless and I can store it in the closet. Best of all..... less than $30 bucks!!

We bought a Electrolux 12volt vacuum from Costco. It has a detachable hand vac built into the handle. Works well and would recommend it.

I installed the Dirt Devil central Vac in our unit and the DW loves it, no more lugging the big house vac out to the trailer to clean up after a trip. She is able to clean when we are gone as well.

It was a simple install and works like a champ.

IMHO the best but most expensive option is the Dysan Slim. LOVE IT. Wife loves it too. Chargeable, no cord. Great for sand.
I bought it without telling my wife beacause it was every expensive. (I heard it was so good.) Now my wife loves it. Had to buy her one for the house.

We've got a handheld in there, the Eureka 71B. We sweep the floor, for the most part, and want something small for the couch, dinette, the bunk ends, etc. Works pretty well.

We have a small Red Devil hand held vacuum. If I had a bigger TT, I'd use my Oreck.
