Here on the East side camping at places like Gatlinburg and smoky mtns is great after all the kids get back into school.

Some places are actually quiet after September haha...

Of course we love kids and support all they do... I sort of remember when I was a kid once...

We are going out next weekend and plan to do so through the winter here in Oklahoma. Will winterize when and if needed but while home our baby will be hooked up to electricity and open in our driveway.

We love that area also but never have been in the winter. Which cg are you going to?

Going to try River Vista in Dillard. First time there but Rabun Count Ga is one of our favorite destinations. Mountains, trout fishing, hiking, Tallulah Gorge, multiple water falls and three State Parks! It's only about 70 miles or so away. Our first boondock trip was in September to Tallulah River Campground, it's a National Forest Servce site sitting right on the river. We got run off when they closed it due to those rains that flooded you.
In August we went to Riverbend in Hiwassee, it was very nice. Did James Island Park survive in good shape? We're ready for our first stay there come next spring.

We have camped many times at River Vista. It's a great location.
JI County Park is still good. Not affected at all by the rains. Come on down.
