It has the usual v10 problems, broken vac line to the dash ac vent controls.

Rust in the transmission dip stick tube.

No manual, broken vac line, stiff steps and a stopped-up ac filter.

You can find the E450 manual here.
Ford Econoline E-450 Owners Manuals - JustGiveMeTheDamnManual.com

The 1999 Jayco manual should be here.

"We put 20,000 miles on the 89 this year"

I'm jealous.

It was a nail biter sometimes in a 26 year old RV. I spent a lot of money fixing it up, I do all my own work but it's hard to know what's going to go next sometimes. Also, some of the parts you buy these days made in China are really shady as far as life compared to OEM. It never let us down, only because I carried spare parts, like when the 1 month old lower smog pump on the 454 locked up outside Victoria, La. Or the everco heater water control valve that I had just replaced leaked worse than the old one.

Then there's always a choice on buying OEM or other, as for the smog pump the chain auto supply offered a Delco new smog pump and a A1-Cardone rebuilt smog pump, the A1 was $159.00, the Delco was $2500.00. I really didn't have much choice.
