Hello from Nevada
My wife and I just bought a new toy hauler, an Octane SL 161. We've been tent camping with our kids for years, but it's always been a hassle when there is inclement weather or if a campground's restrooms are far away. The odds that a child will need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night is directly related to how far away the bathroom is from the camp site. Well, no more of that - now we can tow our bathroom with us wherever we go!
Kidding aside, we're very excited to go camping more often now that we have a travel trailer. We have camp spots inside the track at Laguna Seca that we use every year for World Superbike. It will be great to have a trailer this year for the trip! The 161 seems perfect for our Ram 1500, and we plan on just carrying a couple of sport bikes in the back when we go places.
I've been lurking these forums for months while we were considering which brand of RV to go with. So far it seems like all of the manufacturers have their issues, but Jayco appears to be a bit better than most of the rest. It helps too that the floorplan of this TH is perfect for our family.
I look forward to seeing fellow owners out in the wild this summer!
