New owner 18 284BHSW
Hello all, my trailer is on order, and should be built today. I'm pretty excited, and have already started gathering so.e of the smaller things my research has said would be a good idea to have, water pressure reg, water filter... Still can't decide on plug in or permanent surge protection, any thoughts?

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!
...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!
I installed a whole house surge protector from HomeDepot in our TT. It is the same one from the previous TT and I am happy with it.
As for purchasing one, I would go with the permanent install one, which leaves you with one less item to do during set-up and tear-down. Just my thoughts.

Congratulations and welcome to the JOF. We opted to go with a plug in surge protector. Did this because the first one we purchased malfunctioned and after testing the circuitry at the campsite was able to plug in with our power cord. Had we had a permanent one we would not have been able to plug in. Just our thoughts.

Thank you, I think I'm going to go with a permanent (EMS-HW30C) for now, and may pick up a plug in one at a later date as a backup. Has anyone got to a detachable cord on the jayflight SLX?

My trailer was delivered to the dealer today. I got to go up and look at it prior to the PDI. My salesman walked out with me and handed me a roll of red masking tape, told me to mark anything I wanted fixed during the PDI, and then commented, that he hoped that was enough tape... I think he knows me pretty well.... LoL I found some fit and finish issues, but I was expecting that. I should be picking it up next week. I am having them do a couple upgrades along with the PDI
1 fantastic fan, and cover
2 detachable cord socket (if possible)
3 roof Ladder (if possible)
4 wasp screens
5 black tank sprinkler

It’s a nobrainer and an easy install.
