Is this really a serious thread or is someone pulling our leg? What the H*ll is a thunder shirt? I have a dog that hides during a storm but would get a whole lot more freaked out if I tried to stick him in a shirt.

The Thundershirt is a real thing. You should look it up. Some people absolutely swear by it. The logic is that being "cuddled" by something creates an almost womb-like feeling of comfort and protection.

Like I said, I think it largely depends on the individual dog, for some it will work, for some it won't. Believe it or not, dogs have preferences just like we do. My dog hates to wear clothes, he hangs his head and looks all embarrassed, but that could be just him mimicking my expression!

Don't have a dog but I do have a 18 pound Maine Coon cat. She loves being in the camper, unfortunately she hates being in the truck. We have come up with several things to make the traveling easier on her. One is the thundershirt. It does calm her down considerably. We have not tried it strictly for storms, which she also dislikes. Might try it next time it storms.

OK so its a real product. I think I'll keep my $39.99 in my pocket. If something like this helps your dog, good. If it makes you think your dog is getting helped by a "shirt" and think it also makes the little guy awfully cute, all the better.

Think I've seen this advertized on late nite TV along with the expandable hose and the spin mop. NO Thanks from this dog owning rv'er.
