Serviced generator- oil changed, air filter cleaned. Two weeks until next time. I'm probably overdoing it on frequency, but the manual service schedule interval is 100 hours. Two weeks' worth of runtime on mine is probably around 75 hours. Oh well, cheap insurance, and it makes me feel good to get it done. Gotta have my electricity out here in the desert.

Towed it from Perry GA to Wildwood FL, almost at our final destination, Orlando. Retired and not in any hurry.

I walked into it and looked in the cabinets. I found the radio I have been searching for through the house all day yesterday.

Installed a TV in the bedroom. It's a scary feeling drilling holes in an outside wall as one little slip and there's some serious damage. Thankfully none today though

Checked on her at the storage lot...found a puddle of water and got nervous! Couldn't find leak, maybe mouse urine?? Looked inside storage bin for shoes and found damprid container overturned...crisis averted!!

Installed my new rear view camera.
Works great, but my first attempt to back up with it was abysmal.
Too much focus on the camera not enough on the mirrors...

Picked it up from storage. Rolled out the awning to dry, hooked up the shore power, ran the furnace with windows open to burn off anything that's collected since last time it was run, gave everything a good wipe-down with the California Duster, hooked up city water supply to fill WH and check for leaks.
All is well so far, got a lot on the to-do list this week though, including to give her a bath, check roof seals, wash roof, torque lug nuts (had tires replaced recently), etc...

I always wondered about that. I guess the camera is really just to make sure you are not going to hit or run over anything. Not really to make it easier to park.
Did you hardwire the camera or is it wireless?

Started out just exercising everything. Ran the slide out, ran the awning out to dry, opened all the shades & windows. Sprayed a little lube on the stabilizers.
Ran the power tongue jack up & down a couple times. That's when things went south. The toggle switch suddenly would only toggle in one direction. So the jack would lift the tongue, but not lower. So I took it apart & this is what I found. When you remove the cap of the powerhead, you can separate the back of the switch from the front. Inside are two tilting contacts (1st photo ). These are not locked in place & will just fall out if you turn the housing over ( as one did in 2nd photo ). You can see there is wear & some corrosion on mine. One of the tilting contacts would not tilt. It was hanging up on "something" and would not allow the toggle switch to move. In the 3rd photo you can see two prongs on the back of the front part of the switch. Those move one direction or the other when you operate the switch. They in turn move the tilting contacts. I did some minor cleanup. I also put a couple drops of lube at the pivot point for these contacts. Then put the contacts back in. Now to get the two halves of the switch back together, the half with the tilting contacts needs to be facing up. If not, the contacts will just fall out. To do this, I had to disconnect all the wires. I always take a few pics of where the wires go when I do that ( 4th photo ). Now a word of caution. The front half of the switch, with the two prongs...the prongs can come out, and have a small spring behind them, which will also come out. Had this happen, and took forever to find that spring. Anyway, got the two halves snapped back together. Was kinda tight with my fat fingers, getting the wires back in place. But in the end, everything came back together & works.

Hooked her up and took her for a short spin. Had to get the TX inspection done so I could get my registration. So I have to pay $7 for the inspection so the guy could walk around and make sure my lights worked?? That's all he did!! Now that I've paid for my inspection, I get to now pay the State again for the registration!! Sorry, just venting!

Just did mine recently. First thing the guy checked was the brakes. He acted all surprised when I passed his little "test". I asked him about it and he said many rigs don't pass! Then he walked around and checked all the lights and the tires (I think he was actually looking at load rating? I didn't ask, my son was getting fussy). He gave me a printout and off to the County Tax Office I went! FUN!
Anyway, I made another batch of ice last night; building up my supply for another adventure! Still have to lube a couple things, and check some lug nut torque, and pack. Can't wait to get out of here for a little while!
Added: Just checked the weather. Update is it's supposed to rain this weekend! The curse strikes again!! I checked earlier this week and the weather was supposed to be partly cloudy and mild!! DOH!
