Worked for an hour + to get the bird's nest out of the hitch. Air compressor, vacuum, grab nabber, long pliers, long screwdrivers and nothing worked. Finally bent the crud out of an extended hot dog skewer and pulled out bit by tiny bit. . .
Seems pretty crazy that the hitch is open underneath. Steel wool or screen will be next.

And, I think it was delivered this way

Added sliding pantry shelf system to pantry cabinet. Cabinet is 24" deep, but pretty useless since my wife can't reach the back, specially the top shelve. This slider will really help the DW and create a much better space usage in our small trailer. I bought the 8" wide unit.

Today I will be replacing the cooling fan on my Progressive Dynamics 9280 converter. It started sounding like someone was standing on a cat's tail last week. I ordered a replacement that arrived over the weekend and will install it today.

Attempted to winterize. I use the word attempted since I was able to clear out the water lines and my black tank. However, the grey water tank valve is frozen shut and it has approx 1/2 tank of water in it. Crossing fingers that it doesn't freeze bad enough to hurt anything.

Picked it up from the dealer after they repaired a small crack that was leaking from a holding tank. It apparently had come from the factory that way. Parked it back by the side of the house and anxiously await spring.

Did you dump RV antifreeze freeze down the drains? If not, I would. You may need a good amount to get it thawed enough to dump it.

Update: Fan installed and the converter was easier to get to than I thought it might be. After removing the rear basement wall it was right there.

I also took the opportunity to install the Converter Status Remote Pendant. It just plugs into the converter like a modular telephone and flashing lights tell the status of the converter and what mode it is in. I guess I just like flashing lights when I open the basement, but it is nice knowing the unit is working per plan and keeping my two T105's happy.

Spent a little time draining/flushing the wh and set the furnace on a low temp of 45. We are having a low temp morning of just below freezing.

Just a precaution.

Yes, I did. It didn't help. One more cold night and it should warm up. Crossing fingers for no damage.

Took it into the dealer for a couple of small warranty fixes that shouldn’t take an hour to fix. Made the appointment more than a month ago but when I dropped it off they said it wouldn’t even get looked at for at least a week. They said if I need it in the meantime I’m welcome to come back and get it. Sheesh.

What did you do

Been having problems with screws loosening with the Redhawk HD door spring closure. Used stainless steel bolts through the door. fingers crossed.
Waiting on dealer call back regarding replacing the window framing on the door (it split at the bottom) and repair of that crazy shower door that comes out of track at top and the metal bracket at the bottom that comes out of the curtain.

Maybe that is why so many independent rv repair shops are opening. Owners are fed up with shoddy repair work or long waits and then delays to get anything done so turn to the independent shops to get it done right and on time. We are lucky with our dealer but I think that is the exception?<&

Drove to CW again to see if they got the slideout aligned properly. We bought it used at CW 2 months ago and a gear broke when we were testing it. They didn't get it aligned properly and are still working on it. Hopefully, I will get it back next week so I can finish loading it. Need to get everything out of the house before Christmas...

Then, I need to focus on finding a dealer/shop closer to the house that I trust.

Few days ago I put new tires on and a fresh pair of batteries as we prepare for our winter trip.

What did I do... I went out and sat in the drivers seat and dreamed of where we would go next... and I did my monthly exercise with running the jacks up and down, moving forwards and backwards all while exercising the generator. JH

I went out, ran the furnace, and popped a bag of popcorn in the microwave. Made it to a high of 24 here today. I hate this time of year.

Glad to hear your furnace works. I will be out in 24 degree weather with no furnace. Seems nobody can get it working. Last chance to get it working before we leave is this Monday. Fingers crossed [emoji1696][emoji1696]

Spending another night in her. On night 5 of a 6 night planned trip to sunny north Florida. Apparently mother nature had other plans. It's supposed to snow 15 to 20 inches back home in western North Carolina this weekend. Looks like we'll extend our stay down south a couple of extra nights!
