Hitchin up and taking her back to the dealer for some warranty work - Delivered last month and 1 trip under our belt, we found some work needed...... Door won't close tight or lock, and surfacing on countertop is coming up a little.. Will have them install a television mount while they have it. Just bought a 26" that will work perfect there..

Brought the TT home to prep for upcoming trip. Waxed the entire outside of the unit. Had washed it with some Camco RV wash/wax and was quite disappointed with the results. Didn't remove any streaks, and I resorted to using my Meguiar's quick detailer wax. Worked like a dream, but lots of manual labor, which I'm not fond of these days. Spruced up the decals, which were already starting to look dull after only 2 months of ownership.
Recently installed 24" TV in BR. Added blu-ray player with built-in wi-fi capabilities. Now when wi-fi is available, we can watch Netflix, etc. Tested it here in the driveway. Nice!!! The stock Jensen unit and speakers that are installed in our TT are something straight from the '90s. Speakers are being upgraded soon.
Torqued wheels and gauged tires. Can't wait to hit the road!!!
Cheers,
Greg

Haven't done it yet, but will tackle it this weekend, will be sealing all the exposed wood and plywood in the storage areas with a clear waterbased acrylic sealer.........then a good wash and wax job. You would think such a minor detail during fabrication would be just common sense with Jayco.......

Put JT Strongarms on the front. They won't fit on the rear unless I drill into the installed hitch, which I was not of a mind to do. Swapped out the stock group 24 dual purpose battery for two 6v golf carts. Installed a smallish inverter and ran a dedicated power line up to the entertainment center. Now we can watch movies while boondocking (why does that sound so wrong?)

Switched out some goodies from the "old" camper to the "new" camper and weighed propane bottles to determine levels.

Today, I took the new Honda 2000i generator over to the storage area and fired it up. I was excited to see that it drives a 32" flatscreen and BluRay dvd with no problem, the sad part is it wont drive the A/C. Even in economy mode, as soon as the compressor kicks on, the generator pulls for a sec then the A/C compressor kicks off. So now it seems I'm going to be packing a 50lb generator just to watch movies and run my wife's blow dryer...I am BUMMED!

I wanted to ask the RV Gurus, when dry camping how can you route power from the battery to the outlets? Id like to run some LED string lights on the awning. Do I have to rig something up to plug directly to the battery itself?

Some LED string lights run off 12V, so you may be able to wire them into the porch light, like others have done. Or, if you just want to run a couple strings of 120V LED lights, a $25-$50 modified sine wave inverter should do the trick. If you're going to be running anything more expensive or delicate (like a TV, a computer, or a medical device), you really should invest in a pure sine wave inverter. The power from it will be as clean (or cleaner) than what you have in your house.
