Front compartment door

Has anyone replaced the front compartment door ? Was just wondering how exactly the frame is held in place, looks like it is butyl taped in but not sure if I am missing something, I wrecked the door, ordered a new one that comes with frame and all, took a quick look yesteday and it looks like the butyl tape is all that holds it in place?

There has to be screws, either under the plastic insert around the edge or from the back side pulling the frame together.

Thats what I thought too, I looked pretty good and saw nothing and the new door and frame has no holes nor came with any screws just a roll of butyl tape, I will find out when I tear the old one out but just was curious if any one had replaced that door.

On mine there were also some screws that was inserted through the metal trim pieces inside the door opening along with the butyl tape on the outside.

Mine came with little doors instead of the large doors it was supposed to come with so my dealer got me the proper doors and I replaced the smaller doors with the larger doors, adding the wood pieces etc. for the new doors.

Hope that helps...Sonny

Upon closer inspection and with my old man glasses on I found 5 screws in the door, worked out good other than it has no strap to hold it up but I will get that sorted out.
