Front Decal - custom vinyl options?

Finally got tired of looking at the crooked decal on the front of our 29.5 BHDS so I peeled it off last weekend.

I have replacement decals from the factory, but DW is thinking we need to put something custom on there.

Anyone else put on custom vinyl decals on their campers? I'd love to see some pics!

No idea what it would cost but what about a custom airbush painted design? I would imagine paint would stand up better than vinyl and the front is where it takes abuse.

I'd be more than happy to send you a pic of me to put on the front. I'll even brush my hair!

LOL, that's a heck of an offer but I'm going to hold out and see who else offers up an idea

I'm open to anything, the trouble is we don't have any ideas, at least not any that won't drop the resale value haha

How about a design with a angled image of your camper set-up on a lakefront site with sun setting behind, a nice campfire burning, maybe you and your DW roasting some marshmallows. Not sure if a graphics company can produce it in a sepia coloration, but that would blend nicely with your camper color and graphics.

That is kind of my thought, go with a theme that is more generic to the RV lifestyle. Maybe I might go with a GO Army and you might like a big firetruck but when it comes to resale unless it appeals to the buyer because they were or are a firefighter or in the Army, it may reduce the value.

While a custom airbrushed design probably isn't cheap, to do a single run of something in a vinyl that can hold up to sun fade and weather probably isn't cheap either. They may come in nearly the same price. I don't know. Not sure who to contact on either of these options. I guess places that do vinyl wraps for cars would be a start. I see trucks every now and then with custom airbrushed tailgates around but not sure who does them.

Graphic/Sign companies who do vinyl work can whip something up quickly and affordably, give a local company a call. If you aren't sure which company to call, find a business vehicle with nice graphics, ask them which company they used.

Honestly, I'd probably keep it stock with the originals. Might affect resale, who knows? I just wouldn't make it personal. Like your family name on it or something along those lines. I guess generic camping things would be ok.

You could do that. And if it gets stolen, I'd look in Mexico!

Here's an idea.....

I have looked for Vinyl scenes and/or images a time or two and have found a lot of stuff at EBAY.com. And if you have an idea of what you want but can't find, you will see places there that will do custom work for you. Give it a shot, you'll be surprised. Happy hunting & good luck.

I'd do that before I put a Nascar 18 / Kyle Busch sticker on there, which is what DW would do if I'd let her lol

Whatever we do, resale impact will be considered. I know for certain this is not our last camper.

I like that look!

My plan is to remove every decal. Jayco is not paying me to advertise for them, and I really don't care what awards they have won etc. I like a nice clean look. I'll leave the stripping for now but may change that in the future.

How about a Winnebago Decal. That would have everyone scratching their head.

Getting off topic but my cousin had a Dodge Voyager that he bought new. The Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan came off the same production line and someone screwed up...

Funny you say that, the more I look at it less I think I need to put something there at all.

And I'm with you on advertising. I always take the dealer emblems off my vehicles, and I think I'm going to take the Jayco sticker off the rear too.

I think most cities have companies that do auto-wrap now. Just google "auto wrap <your city>". We have 3 around here. I saw one of them at a local car show, and although I don't recall the exact cost, I do recall that I thought it was surprisingly inexpensive for a full car wrap. Can't see a cap being anywhere as expensive. As far as resale goes, these vinyl wraps are removable, so getting back to stock shouldn't be too difficult.

Do the NASCAR decal. Then since you have factory replacements, you can peel off the Nascar one and replace with the faculty one before selling it.
