Installing Progressive EMS

Getting ready to install my 50 amp hard wire EMS.
Was about to head to Lowes to get a couple of feet of wire so as to not cut the factory wiring invade I ever want to remove it.
Then I saw our old 4 wire plug from our electric stove hanging above my workbench. We switched to gas awhile back.
Is that a heaven enough wire for the 1-2 feet between the ENS and panel?
If not, what gauge am I looking for? I haven't opened the area to it yet. Was hoping to have everything on hand and ready.
Thanks,
Randall.

50 amp would be #6 AWG Copper. Depends on temperature rating of the insulation.

Thats what I used #6 for hots and #8 for ground and neutral, as neutral only take unbalance load from hots.
