Lippert Solid Stance Step Stabilizer

I installed, but yet to use the new Lippert Solid Stance Step Stabilizer. I have been watching it on their website for sometime and it finally became available earlier this week.

The install was fairly straight forward requiring four 3/16" diameter holes to be drilled for each stabilizer and then mounting it to the underside of the bottom stair. The mounting was the most difficult aspect for a few reasons. The frame of the stabilizer had to be spaced away from the underside of the step using supplied washers. That meant having to do a test fit to determine how many washers were required. Threading on the nuts was also difficult because they were at the bottom of the deep but narrow channel. Installing two stabilizers took less than an hour.

Here is a link: https://store.lci1.com/solid-stance-...020109777.html

Much cheaper than swapping out for another type of stairs. (Assuming it does what is claimed.)

Here are a few pictures:

Using the Solid Stance Step Stabilizers for the first time this weekend.

Noticeable difference when stepping on the lowest step. Negligible flex once adjusted properly.

We’re they worth the money and time to install? The DW thinks so, and that is all that counts.

I tried this one for awhile with my electric steps but quit using it. You don't want to retract your stabilizers with this under the steps.

With manual steps for which the Solid Stance was designed for, lowering the stabilizers would result in the lower step hinging upward, so it should not be an issue as it is on an electric step.

I like the look and wonder if they can go on any steel steps. Mine are over 10 years old and the stabilizers I have used are a pain to keep up with. This looks like a handy choice for those that don't want the fold in steps.
I have to do some more reading to make sure they will fit my existing step which does not have the lip on the front.

I'm also waiting on Amazon to get them available.

Lippert Solid Stance Step Stabilizer

Post a picture of your steps, deployed and stowed, and we may be able comment on whether they may fit or not.

They look nice, but putting them on those slippery black steps (like the ones pictured on the box) are like putting lipstick on a pig. I had a grandkid slip off of them and almost landed on his head, I slipped on them and my wife almost broke her arm slipping off of them. You can get a wrap for them, but after the wife's fall, I went with Torklift steps and never looked back. If you have the grooved aluminum hanging steps, these may work well with them.
