I decided that I was tired of messing around with a shore power cable that tended to get tangled inside the storage box (which is to small for the shore power cable) when trying to pull it out or push it in. I also did not want to make another hole in the TT for the new cable connector, so I used the existing access point for the shore cable.
So here is my project, picture by picture. Hope this helps anyone wanting to do the same! The only difference between my conversion and a normal one is that I connected the TT control panel cable to a male 30 Amp plug which I plug into either a shore power outlet or the TT's inverter outlet. I will be mounting my outlets on the back wall and removing the old cable box.
