Inverter A/C... Coming Soon

Has anyone seen this? Furrion is releasing a 12v Inverter A/C that is supposed to be much quieter and uses way less power potentially.

That is not 12 volt, It Just has and inverter AC compressor, like the new refrigerators that have inverter AC compressors to make them more efficent.

Not 12 volt it’s still 120 volt. From what I understand it has the efficiency of a mini split system rolled into a rooftop unit. The biggest thing is manufacturers (I believe Brinkley started this) are going away from ducted AC systems and going to direct dump systems when possible.

The biggest thing about Inverter compressors is they run continuous, but at varying speeds to adjust for cooling. At least that is how our Samsung fridge was. With out the starts and stops there are no surges and also less wear and tear.

LOL, thanks for the clarification. Not sure why I was thinking it was 12v. However, they were turning it down in the video, and it was using substantially less power, so hopefully a smaller bank of batteries can run it, or a smaller generator than what is needed for most units today.

They also state in the video they will be coming out with a ducted system

This is great. Would love the 8k. My trailer has option for second a/c and that 8 would be perfect for bedroom at night.
