Shower Door Sweep Replacement
It's about one third hanging loose and I'm emailing Shower Enclosures America, Inc., to find out what sweep I need. It looks like the door will have to come of because when I pull on the remaining gasket, it won't slide. Could be just stuck, but if that's the case, the door still might need to be removed to give it a good clean out of the channel. Anyone tell me how to install the new sweep and how to get the door off if necessary? Many thanks.

Search on YouTube for Shower Enclosure Sweep Replacement. You might find a video on the procedure. Or send a e-mail to the company and ask for instructions. Don't know if Jayco support would help or not.

If I recall correctly, the sweep in my RV shower is held in by a sheet metal screw which could just be removed. Of course, yours could be different; but in mine, after removing the screw, the sweep just slides into a channel; the screw closes off the end of the channel.

mine goes into a pinch row... so if you lay on your back looking up you might just see how to put it back in...

There is a screw. I'll see if that releases the channel. As for getting my head under there, don't try to picture that! Besides, I couldn't see anything with these old eyelobes. I have an email to the company and will get back to the problem when I return from a quick trip back to Colorado. Thanks.

I know what you mean about trying to fit a noggin into a place that is too small. My head has scars!
Another approach is to use mirror and a flashlight to see what's going on.

Funny, same camper, same problem. Let me know what you find out cekkk as I'll probably be ordering one as well. Mine slides out fairly easily. As I recall, the channel it's in looks like a "T".

If the old one will slide out, you can pick up a new one at Home Depot (in the hardware area, near the screen door parts) for a couple of bucks. Just cut it to length, slide it in, and either add a drop of silicone sealant or tap the track with a screwdriver & hammer to deform it slightly. Either one will keep it in place.

The manufacturer replied today. P/n p/n I-24 can be ordered from Jayco. Instruction for installation says, no tools needed, just pull out the old and "snap" in the new. Right! I'm going to write Jayco and place an order.

The solution...
Take a look at this link http://manuals.heartlandowners.org/P...iper%20Fix.pdf
I have the same problem. The enclosure was installed wrong. Sounds like this is not uncommon on multiple brands. NOT a fun job.

cekkk, thanks for starting this. Our sweep has been gone for over a year now. I didn't realize that it could be easily replaced.

I rec'd the part but since the camper was going to be in the shop for an awning repair I had them install it. I don't do my best work upside down! Have since taken several showers with no leakage.
