Thermostat problem
Our thermostat keeps resetting to 72 which is the factory set point I think. Is it a bad thermostat?
It is a Rv Comfort HP.

Is it a programmable T-stat?

If it has a time & temp program set into it, it might just be going to what the programmed temp is at the programmed time. If there is a hold button/switch, turning that on should retain whatever temp you have manually set into it.

Might check the batteries also. Being a digital t-stat, it has to have a battery for the display window. A low battery might affect the operation of the t-stat.

It is not programmable,does not have a hold button or a battery. It gets its 12 volts from the rv. it also controls the air conditioner and heat pump.

Are you sure that it's not showing you your current temp??? When we set ours, it reverts back to showing the actual room temperature..

I pulled the fuse for a few minutes. It has held the set point for few hours now.May that will do it.

This is a known problem. I called Jayco. The dealer will install a relay to keep power from dropping to the thermostat causing it to reset to 72 degrees.

Do you have any names of who you talked to? My dealer says he cannot replicate problem.

Tell him to call the factory... if it is known then they will give him the info he needs first hand.

If anyone else has this problem the fix was to run a new power wire from converter to thermostat. The thermostat was being powered from the furnace.
