Fifth Wheel cart dolly

Does anyone here have any experience with these? I've seen them a lot lately and would love to hear some feedback. TIA

Here's the experience a friend had when making a sudden, unavoidable lane change. He had his golf cart on the back and he bought the 2 wheel version.

Wow Grumpy. That is awful. I hope that nobody was seriously injured. Did your friend note if there was sway after the lane change or did it just get away from them? The reason I ask is, I followed a couple of these on I-95 last week and was surprised at the amount of horizontal movement that the units had.

I wonder if you can use a small trailer sway control on it?

I don't know if there would be the ability to add a sway control to them like a traditional hitch. The ones that I have seen appear to be hard mounted to the back of the RV with the wheel/wheels able to rotate/turn freely 360 degrees.

Basically your asking for issues with items added to or towed on the back not to mention those tiny little wheels doing Mac 3 and you can’t see them when one blows.

I have seen carriers added to the back which adds weight aft and sets things up for a major fishtail experience. The old “a tail heavy planes flys once”

Fortunately no injuries. He said once he switched lanes the sway started and there was no way to stop it. His comment was he would never buy one again.

Eactly..The problem is it is a solid extension of the frame.

I've seen hydraulic platforms added but I'm not looking to spend that kinda money. I guess what's been commented has helped a lot. Maybe we need to invest in mountain bikes!

If I had to resort to that, I think I had the wrong rig.
