Split plastic

The plastic has split on our 2018 X23F side bunk at the top, is there an easy repair, or do I need to replace the the canvas

This is a common issue. There are lots of posts on the issue.. It has been discussed that the plastic is sewn into the canvas.

One by one, I removed a screw, then added a washer, then resecured that spot. Pulling the crack to together. Over the years I have had to add a few extra screws and washers.
