Floor Problem

I have a 2009 26RKS. Its always been winterized properly and shows no water
marks inside anywhere.Everything works great.....except the vinyl flooring has
split starting at the bedroom area runs under the wall to the bath, thru the
bath under the wall to the hallway. I know when they build them they strech
the flooring down than build the walls on top. There is no glue under the flooring
so I assume the vinyl was just laid down and tacked on the side. Dealer says
"not my problem" Jayco says "to old can't help you" Anyone else have this
problem and what did you do.

This has been an ongoing problem, the vinyl splits in severe cold conditions. Some have replaced the vinyl with new by removing the old vinyl, laying down the new to the edge then using quarter round molding around the edges. Others have used vinyl planks, still others have used laminates, There are some threads on the subject,.try searching "vinyl floor"

Has anyone seen Staples popping up through brand new Pinnacle with Vinyl Flooring? There are several, and one has actually broken through the flooring and created a hole.

Thank you. Do you by chance know how they fix it? Or anyone with the same issue. Jayco has been unresponsive. Thanks.

Vinyl Flooring specialist will come to you. Providing your not to far. Call the dealer or RV service center and ask who they use. These flooring guys are wise, so use them.

Back in 13 I had an 04 Montana Mountaineer. That winter it got so cold the floor split from one end to the other. Spring time came and I used a sharp utility knife and cut the old floor out and laid down a peel and stick type flooring. It was a tongue and groove around the edges as well. I got it from HD and it worked very well. I used corner round around the base of the cabinets and walls. Where the carpet met the floor, I pulled up the edge of the carpet, ran the floor to it and refolded the carpet edge to it.

I redid my flooring last year. Did not remove the old vinyl. Used a thicker floating vinyl interlock to cover imperfections (still pretty lightweight, added about 40# to the GTW). I removed the dinette and sofa, and lifted the front edge of the kitchen cabinets to slide the floor under. Pretty easy really, they don't use a ton of screws to hold it all together. In the end, there were only a couple of places where I needed quarter round to hide the flooring edge.
