Atwood Furnace won't start (Hummingbird 17RB)

I bought a lightly used 2017 Hummingbird 17RB. It has an Atwood Hydro Flame series AFS furnace. I am having trouble starting it up. Because the instruction book isn't clear, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or the furnace is malfunctioning. As I understand, I should turn on the Gas valve at the tank, then turn up the thermostat and the fan should begin blowing and about 30 seconds later the furnace should ignite. When I follow these steps, the blower doesn't even begin to run and of course, the furnace never ignites. The instruction manual implies that there may be a gas valve on the furnace. The furnace is Under the bed and I lifted the panel and couldn't find any valves or switches. I would assume that the fan should come on whether the gas is on or not. Could it be a fuse? I haven't checked that yet. Am I missing something else?

You may have air in the line, light the stove and let it run for a minute or two, then try to run the furnace again.

There is a little switch on top of the TH; turn it off and on. That will reset the furnace.
There's also a switch on the blower housing of the furnace, but most likely that is on.
Be sure to remove air in the lines by turning on the stove.

Welcome to the forum.

The furnace needs the 12 volt system for the thermostat and furnace blower. Are you on 'shore power' or boondocking?

I am boondocking. Can you confirm- should the fan blower work even if there is no gas coming to the furnace?

The normal sequence for an Atwood furnace is that when it receives a call for heat from the thermostat the fan comes on first, then when the airflow switch closes because of sufficient airflow the gas solonoid will open and the igniter will activate lighting the burner. No or not enough airflow and it will not attempt to light the burner. If the fan never runs you likely have a power, thermostat, or control board problem.

Some thermostats also have a fuse, did you check for that?

Thanks to everyone's contributions, I have several things to check. I'll report back when I have a chance to try these things out.

Is the thermostat turned on? many have a little switch at the bottom to turn it off.

Does the thermostat have batteries in it? Just a thought.

We have the same issue. Did you ever determine how to fix this?
