My last 2 trailers had Shur-Flo water pumps with a built-in check valve to keep city water from flowing backward thru the pump and accidentally filling the fresh water tank. Dirt, sand, etc can keep the seal from sealing. I've had to take the pump apart to clean the seal. That's why I never hookup without a filter.

But I don't see how that could cause your toilet to leak. Maybe you have more than one problem.
