Wheel Torque

I just had new tires installed on my 2013 Eagle 33.5 RETS and the tire shop asked me what they should torque the wheel nuts to. I didn't know and couldn't find the info on the capacity plate. They torqued to 120 # is that good?

Sounds about right; steel and aluminum wheels have different torques. and they should have said that you have to re toque them at around 200 miles and then continue to retorque every so often.....probably around each 500 miles.

Terrible and incorrect information mazboy!

No they don't have different torque specs for steel/aluminum............copy right from the Jayco owners manual. And the correct re-torque directions are at 10, 25 and 50, then periodically during travel.

Sorry for the sideways pic, can't seem to right it!

Our 5th has 8 lug aluminum wheels and my torque specs have 3 steps 50, 95 and 115 ft.lb. Sorry but I cannot recall where I got the info tho.

I found the wheel torque specs in the Dexter axle manual.

Check your axle mfg. and google the axle specs if you don't have a manual.
