Freightliner Cab A/C

With my in-laws Class A, they have to run the coach air during the summer to keep it comfortable while driving. Just the cab air isn't enough. Is it the same with the Seneca's?

Yes, it’s very hot up there! They should have placed some vents behind the driver and passenger seats and directly above overhead cb compartments

Cab AC will usually keep cab cool but not entire rv. Further back you go, the hotter it will be. Back bedroom gets sweltering in 80’s and sunshine. I have been driving in the 90s and blazing sun where I had to turn on house AC.

In our Seneca, driving in 90-100F weather requires the coach AC unit to be cooling in addition to the cab AC. We set the thermostat at 72F and run the genny while on the road to power the AC and the coffee maker.

We only need to run the forward AC unit as the rear AC covers the rear bedroom and we have those doors closed.

In every motor home we've owned, class c, class a and now super c, we have always had to run the house AC when rolling down the road and exterior temps have been 75 or higher (our comfort level). Chassis AC units are not designed or equipped to handle the interior cubic footage of a motor home. Many of those same system have issues cooling the back of a medium sized SUV in the late spring through early fall.
