Greyhawk Bottom Storage Weight Limit?
Just wondering if anyone can point me to the stated weight limit for the outside storage bins? We put a case of bottled water into one and noticed it sagged quite a bit when we went to take it out. I don't think the compartment is damaged per say but there does seem to be a permanent sag in it so now we're wondering what the limits are?
Thanks,
Jeff

Ours is the same and we have not over loaded it. I don't think Jayco is really built by Amish or their barns would fall down.

no idea either, but I placed a portable grill in the only space it would fit and discovered that it too caused the compartment to sag.

I cut 3/8 plywood to fit tightly inside the storage box to solve the sagging problem .

Good solution but I might loose that extra bit of storage that came from the sag

All of mine sag a bit too. Some of them have never had anything in them.
Yes, I still have empty storage spaces (and drawers on the inside) of my rig... In fact, I found another empty drawer in the kitchen area last weekend!

We have LOTs of inside empty and all the small outside hold nothing we want to bring so they are empty. The two large are not large enough, we manage and I'm sure in the future Jayco will make changes but this is our one and only motorhome so we adapt

To address OP's original question about "weight limits", I don't remember who it was, but one member called Jayco about it because they wanted to re-purpose a compartment for batteries. They ended up bringing support down from the floor and across the bottom of the compartment using strut channel and threaded rod.
I think they said 150 lbs? But that seems pretty high to me. I just went through a couple of mine yesterday cleaning up some stuff. Maybe if the weight were spread exactly evenly throughout, but not for what I would consider "normal" loading.

I'm not sure what your storage bays look like since I have a different brand rig, but I used plywood and outdoor carpet. I also braced the underside.

I looked over the counter at the dealer one time and got the phone number for a Jayco engineer when trying to determine the capacity of these plastic bins as I was going to mount a battery in one.
I don't remember the exact number, but it was something like 75 or 80 lbs. I installed a 6V battery in the small compartment next to the existing battery compartment and so far have experienced no issues even though my first leg of my trip to NY shook my microwave off the wall.
What is it about toll roads that they are rougher than non-toll roads?
The engineer certainly was surprised that his private cell phone had been give out and requested that I lose the number, so I no longer have it available.

My bins have a bow in the bottom too. I figure it doesn't really hurt anything, so I left them that way.
As far as how much weight the bins will hold, the plastic bins themselves are actually pretty thick. The problem is they are attached to the structure with only a few screws into the wood flooring above...

I wanted to add another battery in one of my bins so I checked out the bin attachment. It's only attached by screws through the outer Luan (1/8" plywood). I was more concerned with the bin detaching than I was about breaking the bin. I ran extra support (a threaded steel rod) through the floor (5/8 plywood) of the MH and attached it to the bottom of the bin.
