Seneca leans?

When we are just parked, it seems that the motorhome leans. Is that normal? Could it be that our shocks are a part of the issue? Just curious.

Shocks do not support weight.. they just damper road vibration... Have you weighed your camper side to side? or are you just noticing the road crown?

Some owners also had the same problem, but I can't remember which models. JAYCO paid for some spring upgrades in the early years. Look at the build codes behind the drivers visor. If you have GXA or GR4 it is 13,500 GQO or GQ2 it is 15,000 and GN2 or GNO they are 19,000.

If you do have the GXA /GR4 you probably need the spring up grade.

Thanks folks. I'll have to check the codes Grumpy. Would be nice to have that figured out. Not a huge deal, but I'd love to get it fixed.

My 2011 31DS leans, on purpose. Jayco put 1 1/2" steel spacer between rear axle and leaf spring on the driver's side to compensate for when the 2 driver's side slides are out. Designed to be level when slide is out. May have spacer removed as it bothers wife when traveling, and really isn't necessary anyhow.

Trippers - I seem to recall a thread some time ago about the DS Helwig spring shackle rubbing a hole in the fresh water tank. Don't recall the end result but you might want to keep that in mind if you remove the spacer.. I'll go back to sleep now ....
