Just something about Texas and Columbus day.
Seems like there's a flood every year.

We are on the road again. Finally a break in the weather. Headed west to Amarillo on Highway 60. 2 days hunkered down in the rig listening to thunder storms. It was like a light shoe during the night with the lightning [emoji939]. Thank you all for your very helpful comments. Can’t really phone-a-friend when none of them RV! But you do!

Thanks for the update. We can't phone you either, but we do like to know when fellow RVers are safe.

Glad you're dodging the rain drops!

I would always say stay put until water recedes! It can flood the roads and easily wash you away if you try to drive through water, so DON'T DO IT! Many have died trying it. Hope your campground is on high ground where it is safe to stay put. I heard down in Junction, TX, an RV park next to a major river flash flooded and 24 people died. Tragic!
