wanting upgrade for toilet
Looking for recommendations for changing out the toilet in my Grayhawk29mv 2017. Not satisfied with the manufacturer's original toilet...too much plastic. Thank you!

You can't go wrong with the Dometic toilets. We have a 320 and are very happy with it. Be sure to measure carefully before buying though as the Dometic toilets tend to need a bit more space between the wall and flange bolts - we couldn't install one on our previous Eagle as there wasn't enough space.

Thanks so much. That is the one I was looking at, but not sure if it will fit. I have 7 1/2 inches. Again, thanks!

Our 29MVP has a ceramic toilet. We noticed the 29 MV didn’t have that? I would guess a ceramic will fit if ours has one. I looked for a name brand on the toilet but didn’t see it. Might ask your dealer what comes in the MVP.

Thank you for your quick reply. That is a great idea. So glad to hear you have a ceramic one. On my way to Camping World now. Will let y’all know what I find out!

I changed toilets in the parking lot before I even left the dealership. I’m sure all toilets can be upgraded. Some models may not fit your particular unit but there are a few toilets available so I’m sure you can find something that will work. I did have to rework my water line in just a bit but it was no big deal. About 5 minutes worth of work.

Changed mine to a ceramic chair height toilet much nicer than the small plastic one. And it is a foot flush instead of the handle one you almost had to put your head in the bowl to flush, Had to do a little plumbing took about 5 minutes.

I have an 2005 jayco Jayflight 29 foot bunkhouse. It has only been used three time and kept in an enclosed building. I noticed both tanks have cracks in them and are leaking. I am very disappointed in the construction of these tanks. No supports across the tanks at all. It will be permanently located in the enclosed building from now on as a guest house. With the front of the enclosure opened for ventilization. I am considering pulling both tanks out and using household toilet. The tanks alone are over 500 not including shipping. Has anyone done this before? Any input would be nice. Replacing them with the same model from Jayflight I am assuming will be same construction

Went to camping world and they said only the thetford that we have would work. Not giving up...checking to see if some modifications can be made to the camper in order to accommodate the dometic. Will update when I find out something. Also, going to check what model is in the new 2018. Thank you for the suggestion.

Just make sure you know the new toilet will fit your unit and meet your needs. Otherwise you are just flushing money away!!!

I didn't know the 29MVP came with a ceramic toilet. You have a 2018 model, right?

Yes, all 2018MVP come with upgraded ceramic (porcelain) foot flush toilet. Ours is really nice easy to use and easy to clean. You definitely want this! No worries your MVP on order will have this upgrade. Only the MV’s have the plastic toilet.

My 2017 325BHQS Eagle as a ceramic toilet also foot flush. I like it a lot. It was something I was going to upgrade when I was first looking at 5vers but when I saw it was already there, I was very happy. Definitely better than the plastic.

Domestic Toilet
Just got through pulling both tanks. Flimsy as ever. Very disappointed. I Found a toilet at home depot that fits perfect with the old hole. This size only comes 14 1/2 tall but I can live with that. No more chemicals to add. Shower as long as I want. Flush flush flush away. Only three connections. Two 1 1/2 connections and One 3 inch. Not including one "Y"

We own a 2020 29mv and just recently replaced the plastic thetford toilet with a dometic 310. So much nicer. It fit just fine. I did have to modify the water line to the toilet.
