Water heater leaking

Hi, on a 2021 Redhack 31F, after taking a shower, while the electric heater was on, we noticed a significant water leak coming from below the refrigerator. We removed the cover that is there and noticed that water was coming from the back of the heater. We turned the heater off and it stopped leaking.
What is the best way to troubleshoot your heater?
I only had the electric not the propane heater. I heard that water, sometimes comes out but goes to the outside of the camper. I appreciate anyone’s feedback, thanks

The only thing I can offer is to check the WH from the outside to make sure the large drain plug is properly seated and that the pressure relief valve is closed. Other than that, look for leaking pipe joints or cracked water lines, both inside and out. Have you used the WH in the past, or was this the first time? If not, something had to give or change to make it leak now and not before. Good luck!

Check these connections on the backside for a small leak. My lower one would only leak when the water was hot.
