What are you doing to your RV? Making a bad TV great

Well since we are staying home and not traveling looking for things to do to rig. Had a center speaker and sub I was no longer using in house so today I installed it in rig. Hung the center speaker over the door mounting it to bottom of cabinet. Put sub on floor in front of fire extinguisher. Put in dvd and what a difference. TV speaker is pretty bad so this made a great difference. Made a cheap TV sound great. Next project in the mail for next week.

Let us know what’s your doing to make your rig more livable when we can get back on the road. Can’t wait to get this virus behind us. Everyone be careful.

Enjoy the journey

I just received my sumo springs in the mail for my tow vehicle. I will be installing them on Tuesday. Now the long wait to take the 5er out.

I have two projects that have moved to the top of the list since all I can do is sit and look out the window at the camper for the foreseeable future..

One is a DIY portable solar suitcase based on this blog entry:

The other is adding some real charging capability from the F-250 while towing based on this blog entry:

DC-DC Truck Charging

I am planning to substitute a couple Victron Energy components for the REDARC unit they used. The VE devices will be able to use Bluetooth to access the battery temperature sensor on my VE BMV-712 which will improve the performance of the charging based on having accurate battery temp data to reference. Plus, I will be able to monitor and manage the additional VE devices via the VictronConnect app like I do with the BMV-712.

Oh that does not sound like fun. Good luck getting the old ones out without breaking or stripping. Take care.
