Can you take some photos of the valve and rod in the open and closed positions?

I had the same issue with my Designer, I tracked down the wire that comes from the pull handle, I was able to cut out a small portion of the insulation board in the storage compartment just under where he wire from the pull handle hooks in. I found that the wire cable has stretched and was not opening the small round cylinder which in returns opens the valve. I have left the cable unhooked and simply reach under and pull it open by hand now. I found that the tank opens completely and flushes out well. Thought I might run this by you since I had the same problem. Hope everything comes out ok

Came across this thread, having same issue with my black tank pull. Not sure where to start cutting... where is the valve for the black tank?
