GMC Invisible Trailer Camera?

Inquiring if anyone has placed the back camera package from 2024 GMC Sierra on a 40' Pinnacle that make it "invisible?" All videos show pull behind trailers less than 32 feet.

On my 21 gmc it was a 500 dollar option.
I said no.
It is hardwired and plugs in next to the 7 pin connector so length shouldn’t matter.

Is that really practical and useful or a gimmick? Never used one?

I don't have one but I looked into it. You're right about the 32' or less requirement, I saw somewhere you could trick it on setup so the longer length could work. I didn't get it cause the camera needed to be mounted a specific height off the ground and it would off been partialy blocked by my bike rack, plus you have to run wires from your plug back, I didn't like that idea. I think it would be cool till the novelty wears off, and you wouldn't use it that much.

I have one and it’s very useful but the invisible view won’t work with anything over 30 ft. The camera is worth every penny though.

I just installed it on my model 26 measures 30'. I read many that have put it on longer trailers and they just fudge when entering the length.
I like it best for reverse and would have bought it just for that. It shows two sets of grid lines (two colors). One for where the trailer is going and the second for the trucks steering. Just dynamite, as I sometimes get mixed up as to where the truck steering is when backing. I'm not sure if it will show gridlines for 5thers, so do your research.

edit 2024's take a different part number this is where I got mine for my 2024.
