MorRyde CR3000

My NP 377 came from the factory with the CR3000's. I was doing a routine inspection and found the driver side rubber to be completely deteriorated and the passenger side to be fine. Fortunately its still under warranty and the dealer is replacing but wondering if anyone else has had this issue. The trailer is just shy of two years old.

My 2016 375 has the 3000's on it and mine are fine. Although, mine has no rust or corrosion on it and I'm wondering if that may have something to do with it.
Not trying to criticize either.

Sorry, two months late here. Just checked my CR3000s...no cracks in rubber after 4.5 years and 37,152 miles. And just last month, Jayco has installed the 8k leaf springs upgrade per recall. Is your 2018 included in this recall? I would think so, if it has a 16500 GVWR or more.

I wonder how yours got so cracked in less than two years? As if they have been soaked and dried many cycles in diesel fuel or other petroleum product. I assume you got them replaced already? And hopefully they come with a protective sealant.

They are a wear item like the rest of the suspension components. So they will need replacement at some point in time.

I have the CR3000 on mine, I haven’t seen a problem with the rubber but my shackle bolt holes showed significant elongation after less than 2,000 miles. I was shocked by that. The ones I put on now are twice the thickness.

I've not received a recall notice on mine for springs. I replaced the CR3000's with Dexter myself.

Are you asking me or Bill3Kirk.

While I was having disc brakes put on I had the guy put in heavy duty shackles and wet bolts, it was $350 for the kit and installation.

If you are asking about the Dexter's, this is what I replaced the CR3000's with -

Sorry for the confusion there, Scottenj. I was asking Bill about his Dexter EQs...and thanks Bill. They look like a great design and w/two zerk fittings and HD shackles w/wet bolts. Fair price, maybe a little more than CRE3000 with HD wet bolt shackle upgrade kit. Hard to say which design yields a smoother ride. Have you had a chance to test them out on a long trip yet?

I'll let you know by Sunday. We are driving from Tucson to Wilmington, NC. Mostly I-10 and I-20 but I'm sure it will get the test. Colorado to Tucson last week was like a wash board in places coming down 191 in Utah through Bluff. 160 in AZ wasn't much better. I did notice the shocks made the frost heaves considerably smoother. The 5th wheel rode smoother with the upgrades (much less movement inside it) but the truck was still rough. Next year is truck improvement time.
