Pictures from first time out

Hope this works, I seem to mess up when posting pictures. First camping trip and some out on the road.

Nice thehappycamper !!! What year and model is the Eagle HT ? Kinda looks like you might want to consider air bags for your TV.

The towing experience was not bad, especially when driving over road bumps, hardly felt it. The camping trip was great, I got up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom and did not have to slide clothes on and climb out of a tent and walk through a dark and sometimes rainy lane to the washroom. And yes I have been thinking of airbags to help with the sag. It's not that bad seeing it is a 3/4 ton and can more than handle the weight. Really looking forward to more camping trips. Thank god more more tents.

I'm surprised that the tv is sagging as much as it is. Wonder what your pin weight is. My 2015 Chevy 2500 dosent sag that much with my 2017 27.5rkds. I get about 2"" of deflection when hook-up.

Glad you had a enjoyable first trip out. I'm no hitch expert but from the pictures it looks like your truck is a little nose high and the end of the trailer is low (could be picture angle).

The Eagle HT's seem to run nose high. People go to great lengths to try to correct the problem ... some folks even adding a sub-frame to get it higher so the hitch can be lowered to a "level" towing position.

I was more concerned about the truck sag for a 2500.

It sags exactly 2 inches, I have measured it with the load and with no load. I haven't weighted it but specs say 1175 lbs pin weight, and from a lot of research I think its more, especially with the camping gear, dishes etc. And the hitch specs out at 220 lbs and i also carry a 105 lb floor jack and a jack stand so if I would guess, I would guess around 1600 to 1700 lbs. All i can say it rides nice with all that weight, it normally gives a stiff ride when empty. I'm thinking of increasing the height of the trailer with suspension lift of about 1 and a half inch, also lower the front pin by one hole height and an air bag at the rear suspension which should make it pretty much level, not perfect, but better then it is now. I don't tow far so not that concerned about it for the time being. I love the truck and the way at times I forget it's even back there.
