Washer and dryer drip pan

We have a 2018 315RLTS Northpoint. We have a Splendide washer/dryer. We have a drip pan to put under the washer/dryer. Jayco said to run the drip pan up to the drain provided. Water don't run up hill. Anybody can tell us where to poke the hole to take the water from the drip pan if the washer leaks? Jayco said if I hit a wire in the walls or floor it will void my warranty. Short of running a hose down the stairs and out the door when we run the washer, I have no ideas. Please help us.

I have the same unit, and installed a splendid washer dryer combo. After thinking and thinking about draining the drip pan that I have Under the unit, I finally came to the conclusion that it was just too risky and I plugged it and left it as is. We constantly check it for water. if there’s a major leak i can’t help it but a small leak or drip can be picked it up and stopped before it gets worse. If anyone has a way to safely drain it I would like to know .

Personally I would contact Jayco with your vin number,and ask for the floor drawings, and maybe the electrical drawings.

I would then use a hole saw, and cut through 1 layer at a time, checking as you go through the layers.

I'm going to install a washed/dry combo and a drip pan. Have them, haven't had time yet. But I'm not going to install the drain. We will monitor the pan for water. Will keep the valves off unless in use. We would never run it while not there.

Water sensors/alarms are available (almost bought one years ago for our basement laundry room). That might ease your mind if you decide not to install a drain for the pan.

Thanks for the thoughts. Jayco doesn't have the electrical layout in the walls and floors. The wall drawings they sent me were for the full length of the rig on a single sheet. No help there. They told me to run it out the drain they provided. You know the one next to the faucets. So, I think I'll just put a hose fitting on it, or plug it. I had a Splendide for 8 years in another fiver that was new to me. It never leaked. We used the heck out of the thing and were gone 3 months per year.

BTW check the vent on the back of your stove. The vents should be pointed towards the stove and not the backsplash.
