How or can I tow a 1990 Jeep TJ with an automatic transmission? Interested in the actual Jeep set up inside the vehicle. i.e. transfer case and transmission?

Transfer case in neutral, transmission in park. Steering column unlocked if flat towing.

It shouldn’t matter for the answer provided above, but TJs weren’t made until 1996. YJs (rectangular headlights) were from 1987-1995 and before that they were all CJs, usually with different numbers after it (e.g., CJ5).

I only mention it because I swore my 1991 Jeep Wrangler was a YJ and had to go look it up to verify because you made me doubt myself. [emoji23]
