2006 jayco 29bh
We just purchased a used 2006 29bh. It needs a good cleaning. It has stains on the plastic pieces like the skirting around the tires, all the plastic pieces for inlets like the water hook ups, power cord cover, Air cond. cover, ect. What is a way to get rid of those stains? I plan on detailing it. Wash the awning, I have read use bleach and water and role it up for 30 min. and then rinse.
Any advise?

Welcome to JOF
I had a similar issue with UV yellowing the plastic trim around my 2005 Eagle's entry door windows, outside plastic vent over, etc.. I wasn't able to find a simple means of removing the yellow discoloration and restoring the original white color, so I purchased a can of White Rustoleum for Plastic surfaces ..., worked great and has held up fine for the last 4 years.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing as far as yellowing, but right now I just want to get it clean. All the plastic pieces are stained with black on them and is there a way to remove it? if not than I was thinking of cleaning and painting.

If your referring to some of the black streaks along the sides of the TT, there are Black Streak Remover spray products that work well without damaging the surface. RV retailers sell them by the gallon or bottle, Walmart also sells them as well.
When using those products it's best to apply in the shade if possible, or don't let it set-up on the surface to long when using in direct sunlight.
I keep a large spray bottle in my TT, and use it when wash my TT (especially below the gutter openings).
Might apply a little Simple Green on a sponge with the plastic plastic parts (be very careful with products that contain bleach).

No not talking black streaks, im talking all the plastic pieces. the skirting around fender wells, air cond. cover, vent covers, power cord cover, city water hook up, cable hookup ect. The previous owners didn't do a great job at washing it all the time like I plan on doing. I am going to give a detail and want it to shine again. Its not real bad but im kinda picky.

I would still try the products I mentioned on the individual plastic trim pieces you identified. Unfortunately it may be a challenge to restore all the trim pieces to one's expectations easily, because weather and sun exposure is an RV's worst enemy especially on a 7 year old TT that a previous owner didn't attend to.

Bleach and water sprayed on the awning then roll up for about 10 minutes works well if it is real bad you may need to use a soft brush on a long handle also. I wax my TT twice a year and only use meguiars cleaner wax the paste kind it is a lot of work but does a great job just remember after waxing dont use dish washing detergent or simple green these products will remove the wax you just spent three days applying. I use turtle wax car wash to keep it clean.

For the awning, you can use the orange based awning cleaner that your spray and roll-up for 30min.... and on the stubborn marks, I use Mr Clean Magic Eraser.... does magic!

My wife used straight bleach on all the plastic pieces, skirting around the wheels, trim around the cargo doors, marker lights, 110 outlet, hose and power inlet, ect. They are know all perfectly white just like new. We are ready to go camping.
