2021 Eagle HT 264BHOK dry hitch weight question

Hi All,

The 2021 Jayco Brochure states a dry hitch weight of 1,045 lbs for a 2021 Eagle HT 264BHOK. This can't be right. A F-150 is only rated for 1,270 lbs (tongue weight) so having a loaded trailer and installing propane and batteries (directly over the tongue) you'll be over loaded. Is 1,045 lbs correct or is it a misprint?

Thanks, Chris

It seems to be correct. The 2021 weight is 30 LBS more than the 2020 spec of 1015 LBS, per the Jayco website. Looking at the floorplan, there's a lot of weight in front of the axles.

If you read the fine print it’ll tell you which half tons it’s rated for. For the most part, it’s the low optioned regular cab 4x2 models. The F-150 is actually pretty respectable with the Heavy Duty payload package.
