Adding an additional Air Conditioner

Has anyone added an additional air conditioner to a 27 DSRL? Considering the amp usage of a unit running at 16 to 18 amps it seems impossible to me with a 30 amp configuration.

All of the units I have seen with 2 AC's have 50 amp service.

I have heard of 30 amp service with 2 A/Cs but they have had some sort of load balancing system so only 1 A/C can run at a time or other items are shut down to supply enough power to both A/C's.

I believe that is true, which makes me think that if you are sticking to 30 amp service, what is the point in adding another AC if you can only run one at a time?

Some people have done some creative wiring so they can plug the 2nd a/c into the 20 amp outlet on the power post.

Now that would work. I'll have to check into that.
