Additional marker lights?

I'm looking at adding (more) marker lights to our 297BHS, anyone else ever line the side/frame of their travel trailer... trucker style?

Wifey just laughs, but I've always loved exterior illumination.

Never seen it, and I am glad. Don't want any more gaudy lights in the campground.

I personally wouldn't want to add a bunch of unnecessary holes to my camper outer shell. More leak possibilities.

Down low, in the lower skirt, is just rolled aluminum with no wall/framing, so no damage could occur.

Unless the OP is one that lights up his marker lights at night, there really is no more gaudy lights in the CG, other than when you are pulling in at night.

I have not seen anyone having any extra marker lights. I have thought about adding one or two to each side, with blinkers just to be more visible. What I really have thought about is adding one of those extended rubber marker lights out near the bumper.

It would be super easy to install in the lower skirt. Mark, drill a pilot hole then use a hole punch or a sharp hole saw (It is thin aluminum so maybe running the hole saw backwards). Tie into your 7pin wire harness, fasten the new wires to the undercarriage, and pig tail off as needed. Hardest part is making that first hole (damage free).

Adding up high, not so easy!

If you do it make sure to post some pictures.

I would look for marker lights that can also act as turn signals. But this is the style I would consider.

He said trucker style, so I imagine he is talking about this:

It could be worse...

I am thinking about adding docking lights to our tt. I had them in the motor home and loved them when backing up. I hardwired a 6 panel 12 volt accessory fuse block directly to the battery and put it inside front cap. I wire my accessories to that panel. I am not adding or interfering with that bmpro system. That thing scares me. Way to many wires going to that node.

I plan on 2 dock lights on each side on a simple on off switch for when I am backing up.

I also added blue LEDs to the underskirt on just the front and down the door side. Softer light than those white under awning lights.
