Cleaning the TT's rubber roof
Well I journeyed into the unknown this past weekend and gave the rubber roof on our TT a proper cleaning and treatment. To date I was very good about inspecting the roof for leaks, sweeping it of any debris, and washing it with a hose but it has always stayed fairly clean...or so I thought until I did a proper clean with RV roof cleaner and the treatment that you spray on. After seeing how shiny and clean the roof looks now I am glad I did the job right. It recommends to do this type of cleaning every 3-6 months but that makes it a bit difficult where I live since we usually have snow from November to March. I think a cleaning every spring and fall will be in order.

I washed my roof and suspended a tarp over it this past weekend. This weekend I plan on cleaning it with either Protect Alls Rubber Roof Cleaner and Protectant or Thetfords all in one Rubber Roof product. I use both depending on water availability.

Don't forget to give every seam on the roof a close inspection, looking for cracked caulking and any potential water damage possibility.

I have a brush that is made to wash cars with. I haven't used it yet, but that is my plan.

I've found that a good cloudy day is easiest when doing this task. If you allow the spic and span to sit for a few minutes then go back over it, the black spots really come off, giving you that white as new look. I also use a car brush which does the task with ease.
