Getting a 2021 SLX 7 145 rb, What do I do first?

Hey Y'all,
Taking delivery of a rarely used 2021 Jayflight 145 RB. This the proverbial little elderly couple who used it twice. Private party sale so it will all be on me. I know a lot about the pre-purchase checks so I should be able to handle that aspect.

While I have perused various generic "preseason checklist" info, I bet members have more experience with these exact trailers. I am handy and expect to do all deferred maintenance myself.

Any known issues? Stuff to watch out for?

So, start with the roof and work my way down?
I appreciate being able to use your knowledge!

Thanks

We got a new 145RB Baja in 2017 and the only problem we had was an incorrectly installed cover on bathtub skylight which was fixed without hassle under warranty. And to be honest, we had zero other issues in 5 years of frequent use.

We are almost always off grid and the little Baja was easy to tow into a small lake somewhere. We could be frugal with our resources stay a week on a lake like this without any neighbors.
We use the line from a Mickey Rourke movie, "It's not like we don't like people. Sometimes we just feel better when they’re not around".

I hope you love your 145RB half as much as we did.

checklist items

We bought a trailer last year in a similar situation, it all went well but a few things to consider:
-chat up the seller to see exactly how they winterized. When you put water in and turn on the pump be ready to go around everywhere and check under cabinets, inside, outside etc.
-you won't likely be able to try out everything at their house or storage place unless they have a 30 amp hookup, so AC and hot water in particular with be on faith.
-at home - ideally with a car "crawler" go all around underneath looking for potential mouse holes or other issues. Watch your head in many places!
-have a plan to tow it home. Not just your vehicle but also some tools if you need to adjust hitch height or sway bars etc.
-We took ours firstly to a close place to camp for a short trip to mostly play with everything and figure out what else you need before venturing far and wide.
Enjoy it!

Sleep in it, cook in it, use the rest room and wash the dishes. Keep your food in the fridge. A weekend living in it on your driveway or at a very local park is the best way to find things wrong when they are easy to fix or live without. Also, great way to figure out you need x, y and a few other things. If you have side AC then you can run it on a heavy drop cord and an adapter in your driveway.

thanks a lot for the reply.
I am dabbling with a modification of the sofa to allow for a adult person to sleep on it.

sofa to bed mpds...pics!

Hey everybody…
here are a few pics of my sofa to bed modification on my 145 RB.
I used a stainless steel piano hinge, a 3/8 piece of hardwood Luan, with a supporting leg that screws in.
