New Here , looking for options for step upgrade

Hello all , New here and thought Id introduce myself

My name is Jordon , I own a 2017 Jayco 242bhsw that I tow with my 2019 Toyota tundra up here in alberta canada .

My question is I am looking to upgrade the entry steps , was looking at either the mor-ryde step above or the lippert solid step . However I notice that I will run into an issue being that my entry door has a strut attached at the bottom .
My initial thought was to relocate the strut to the top of the door frame . not sure if that will solve my issue because the door needs to open more than 90 degrees to allow the steps to deploy out . My awing arm is right beside the entry door as well .

Anyone have any suggestions as to what my options are ?

I just last week changed our steps on the camper to the Torklift glow step revolution and the wife and I both love them. They replace the existing steps in the same opening. Just had to remove the original steps (4 bolts) and replace with the new one (4 bolts) I had to add a few aluminum shim pieces because the Torklift ones are a little narrower but no problem. I wish I would have done this sooner. The steps are rock solid when set up and they only take up the space where the original ones were. We looked at the ones that flip up into the door opening like some trailers are now coming with but thought about the fact that when you fold them up into the trailer where does the dirt that is left on them end up. Check out Torklifts web site and there also are several videos on the web about installing them. I put the new ones on all by myself and it took maybe an hour to an hour and a half to complete.

I installed the Torklift Revolution steps about 3 years ago. They’ve been great and fit in the under door spot where the original steps lived. The Bride loves them too since we went from 3 steps to 4, much easier.

Those steps do look amazing , however way too expensive for my taste , I cannot justify almost $1000 dollars for steps .

I used the 3 step model, cost me $531.89 with shipping. Torklift has a chart that tells you which model you need by the height from the ground to the top of the opening under the door where the current steps are located. I searched the internet and found several dealers who sold them and found the least expensive one which is the one I ordered from of course.

Well after much thought I decided to make myself a set of detachable stairs instead . Cost was under $100 . Very sturdy and will easily unbolt with 2 nuts and store away �� Dont mind the wooden blocks , I plan on attaching adjustable feet for uneven ground .
